This is the Club's Bow River Clean Up. It starts at 9am at Policemans Flats boat launch. Lunch will be at noon and there will be smokies. So please remember this important date and see you there.

POLICE OUTPOST FISH STUDY
May 28th- 30th
Unoffical fish creel for police outpost lake weekend of May 28 - 30. Purpose of the weekend is to catch and messure fish. We will record how many, length, which fly used and time fished. This information will be passed on to Terry Clark of Fish and Wildlife conservation out of Lethbridge. The study is used to determine the growth and sucess of the their triploid stocking program, which hopes to make this lake a parge rainbow trophy lake in the future. they started stocking the lake 4 years ago as fingerlings, they grew quickly. the first fish creel 2 years ago they were on average of 10 inchs, last year 14-16 inches with a few 18-20 inch fish caught. this year we are hoping for an average of 20-22 inches.
This is not a sponsored event, you will be responsible for your own camping fees and food. There is a boat launch and 46 camp sites available. for more information please contact Tiana Nordstrom ladystrange.flygirl@gmail.com or at the next meeting. non-members welcome.
Police Outpost Lake is a pretty little jewel tucked away in southern Alberta's classic rolloing foothills country. Fly fishers will enjoy good success with black leech imitation streamers and an assortment of damselfly, dragonfly, scud and water boatman imitations.
Getting there: From Calagry, travel south on Highway 2 to Cardston. Go 10 kilometres south at junction with Outpost Lake Access Road, then follow signs to Police Outpost Provincial Park 23 km southwest to provincial park. N 49° 00.472 W 113° 27.888

As usual this event will be held at the Syncline A Group Campground near Beaver Mines, AB. Too many trout streams and lakes to list here.
